String Goes to The Met

String Goes to The Met

Thursday, July 27, 2017

9:30 - 2:30

This year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's 2017 exhibition examines the work of fashion designer Rei Kawakubo, known for her avant-garde designs for Comme des Garcons.

The day will begin with a light breakfast at String Yarns along with a preview of the new fall/winter Tahki-Stacy Charles collections. You'll receive 15% off any purchase made that day. We'll then head over to the Met, where knitwear industry icon, Stacy Charles, will lead us through the Rei Kawakubo exhibition. Lunch will follow back at one of our favorite bistros, Casimir, just across the street from our 74th Street location.

Ticket price includes:

  • admission to the Met
  • 15% off any purchases made at String that day
  • light breakfast
  • lunch at Casimir (includes tax & tip, and one non-alcoholic beverages)

PLEASE NOTE: We will be walking to The Met from our store at 74th Street & Lexington Avenue, an approximate 10 block walk. Transportation to and from the museum is not included.

We're limiting this event to 20 guests.
