Big Changes at String

Dear Friends,

String has been sold to Stacy Charles! After 12+ amazing years as founder and owner of String, I have decided to sell the store. Fortunately for all of us, Stacy is the perfect new owner and will make String even stronger. All of String's staff who you know and love - Lidia, Becky, Petra and Lisa -  will be continuing, and I have promised Stacy that I will consult and stay involved.

The change of ownership will take place at the end of January, and at the same time, String is moving to a bigger and better space - on the South East corner of Lexington and E. 74th Street (1301 Lexington Avenue, 2nd Floor). We tried to renew our current lease but the landlord was unwilling. This was not part of our original plan, but fortunately, we quickly found the perfect new space. String will close its current location on January 24th, and the move with take place over 2 weeks and the new location will open on February 9th. Stay tuned for more details.

In the meantime, we are continuing to bring in new yarns and designs and will be showcasing exciting new offerings in our booth at VK Live on Friday, January 16 - Sunday, January 18. We also plan to have a number of events during January and February to celebrate both String's exciting past and its fantastic future.

I loved building String. You have been the most amazing customers imaginable. So many of you have become close friends. I am extraordinarily grateful to you all and thank you for being a part of my life.

With warmest regards and best wishes for the holidays,
