A DAY WITH IRIS SCHREIER

Saturday, February 11, 2017 ~ 12 to 4 pm
Renowned designer and author, Iris Schreier of Artyarns, will provide insights into her process, technical advice and knitting instruction in this workshop for two of her gorgeous new designs, the Decadent Poncho Cardigan and the Key of Life Shawl. You choose one of the two and begin knitting with Iris guiding you along the way.
With sign-up, you'll receive:
Decadent Poncho Cardigan: $250 (includes workshop fee and all Artyarns for the project). Skill Level: Beginner and up.

A DAY WITH KIRSTEN KAPUR
designer and author of DROP DEAD EASY KNITS
NYC-based and internationally renowned designer, Kirsten Kapur experiments with the interplay between fiber colors and textures in her original knitwear designs and patterns. Her designs have been published in many books and magazines, as well as independently on Ravelry. She is the co-author (with Gale Zucker and Mary Lou Egan) of Drop Dead Easy Knits and the author of Kirsten Kapur Shawl Book One.
In this workshop you'll learnhow to work dropped stitches to create a fabric with beautiful drape ~ the Glama Wrap. You'll look at how substituting yarns and using different yarn weights impact the look of the finished project, as well as how to work the pattern using more than one color.
Skill Level: Beginner and up.
Have you admired beautiful lace projects in knitting books and online, but were afraid that lace was too difficult? This project is a wonderful way to get started knitting lace. In this class we will learn to knit lace, work from charts and discuss the many yarn and color options for these pretty two-color cowls.
Skill Level: Advanced beginner and up, should be comfortable working in the round.
