We are thrilled to see more and more cowls on fashion runways and street style with every passing season. We feel a cowl is a perfect balance between comfort and fashion that adds a finishing touch to any outfit. A cowl is a perfect layering piece that adds texture and frames the face in a way most other garments can’t.

Cowls come in all shapes and sizes. Don’t be fooled to think that you can just whip up your favorite stitch pattern, join the ends, and have the perfect cowl. Like any other design, there are certain elements that make a good cowl, and we are very sensitive to that. The structure is an important factor. We wouldn’t want it to lay like a pancake on your neck or hang down like an afterthought piece.

For these reasons, we choose the “Coppelia Snood” one of our favorites. Knit with 100% cashmere by Hania for Anya Cole, the height of this cowl allows for the perfect amount of drape in the garment created by deliciously soft tweed cashmere. The “Coppelia Snood” caresses your neck, keeping you nice and warm while framing your face, making a fashion statement all with one small piece. The pattern stitch also gives great body to the cowl and makes it looks as luxurious as it feels.
